"What do you do in the summertime?"

So, what do you do in the summertime when the temps reach insane levels?

1. Find some water

2. Make crafts out of available materials at home - it's too hot to go to the store. And, yes, for all of you inquiring minds out there - those are corn pads Austin found in the bathroom cupboard.

3. Hang out at home - just don't move too fast, the temp is set at 82 degrees (while dad works in a cool 72 degree office- thanks).

Hanging out on the tile is nice and cool.

4. When cabin fever really gets to you - go to the zoo. There is some shade for the parents and a splash pad for the kids (although there was a scary shirtless man wandering around the splash pad . . . ewwww). No pictures of the actual splash pad - I was doing good just being there at that point of the trip.

Notice - Austin is still in the stroller - and he pretty much stayed there the whole time.

Look at this poor girl. We weren't moving very fast.

Most of the animals were hiding anyways. But we did see some turtles.

5. When all else fails - take a vacation. Anyone travelling? May be I can hitchhike.

The heat is brutal, but at least it isn't 7 feet of snow. :)
